Kenneth Shabel is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where he earned a B.A. in both Communications Studies and English. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1998.
After two years working for South Carolina Legal Services, Ken became the lead attorney for Spartanburg County Department of Social Services, where he served for more than five years. He entered private practice in 2006 and was a partner in the firm of Campbell & Shabel for 10 years before joining Kennedy & Brannon in 2016.
Ken is a Certified Family Court Mediator and Guardian ad Litem. In addition to his Family Court practice, he also has an extensive Probate and Estate Planning practice.
Ken is a lifelong resident of Greenville, S.C.
